It was an opportunity to connect with people who think about things that mean a lot to me but are not interesting or important to people in my usual community. And I appreciate the effort and caring that Robert and Geoff put into running the course, and dealt with all the hiccups that are part of any new undertaking. All in all, it was a very worthwhile experience that made me realize how much I want to share my thinking and interests with other people.
Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.
