There are three things I would like to mention for this. First, I appreciated meeting other people who are struggling with ideas like collapse, because it helped me feel less alone. Second, I really appreciated the distinction between collapse awareness and collapse acceptance which I had not previously come across. That was extremely insightful for my journey. Third, I appreciated the focus of each week's topics. I think the structure of the course via its topics was very well done.

The amount of time and effort that you all as course creators put into this course was SO CLEARLY seen! As a course designer myself, I can't even imagine what a TASK it must have been to pull all of this together. I'm so impressed!

I really loved how it wasn't just a rehashing, or digging in too deeply about doom and how "bad" things are. I loved that the idea of acceptance was baked in from the very beginning. I really left the course with a deeper, stronger, more calming feeling of acceptance than I had anticipated.

The volunteer work that makes it possible to pass on this valuable knowledge free of charge. The deep, honest, emotional, and intellectual connections that developed with the other course participants in such a short time. The loving and supportive course leaders.

The chance to share in person, we had an in person group, not zoom which was very important to me. Sharing in person the anxiety the fear the anger the confusion around the Changes in our world and civilization. The gentle interesting way Jo, and Linda began and ended the course sessions, usually with Poetry. The chance to listen to what others are thinking and feeling about the subject. Appreciated the tools, the skills offered to deal with the angst in facing collapse. I will be reviewing in depth the whole course in the new year to really distill the huge amount of information and methods shared in finding grace and Acceptance not only in the face of collapse but in our own lives .

As this was the second time I took it - a year and a half later - I really appreciated the updates that you guys had made, based on earlier feedback and on the continuing collapse during that interim. It felt timely (up-to-date).

The incredible breadth of wonderful material - the careful curation of videos and readings so that the time I invested was never wasted. I appreciated also so much the way Robert and Geoff facilitated the course, without tension. They handled our reactions - which of course were all over the map! -- with grace and respect. I am incredibly grateful to John Sorenson who urged me and our Ghost Ranch retreat group to take this course. It has changed me for the better. So much heart and work went into this course by the developers AND by the facilitators who carry it on. My gratitude is immense.

I appreciated most that the main aspect of the group component was sharing and reflecting with others. This provided a process space weekly that felt nurturing and supportive and aided in integrating the material.

It was an opportunity to connect with people who think about things that mean a lot to me but are not interesting or important to people in my usual community. And I appreciate the effort and caring that Robert and Geoff put into running the course, and dealt with all the hiccups that are part of any new undertaking. All in all, it was a very worthwhile experience that made me realize how much I want to share my thinking and interests with other people.

Although I’ve been aware for years, the depth & perspective are much fuller because of this course. While the structure was very efficient in providing time for participation by all of the group, what was so amazing, was seeing everyone blossom Into the conversations TOGETHER. Also I found it was so beneficial to invite folks to facilitate at the sessions. This really allowed folks to share strengths & invite others into the conversation.

I absolutely turned a crucial corner, stunned by how much I have been unaware of the Collapse world, to now prioritizing and rewriting my own contributions to focus on acceptance and adaptation, rather than nonprofits who are working for sustainability. And I know I have much more to learn.

On a deeper level, the course (along with also reading Jem Bendell's latest book at the same time) has finally given me the motivation to take seriously my spiritual perspective and to find peace or rest with where I am at, and where the world is at. I am no longer arguing with reality, with what is, on any level. I have dropped my forceful mind and I have surrendered the idea that I am in charge of my life or that I am making things happen or directing existence in any way. For me this is the acceptance I was seeking, and it was always already here. I have exhausted all my seeking, and surrendered to life as it is. I don't mind what happens and I am not judging myself or anyone else - and it is a blessed relief.

The course provided me with resources which I had not previously been exposed to.

The course definitely helped in becoming more aware of where I am at in terms of acceptance / where I am at in my grief process. What changed is that I am more aware of that journey towards acceptance….

I think the course was amazing, I badly needed it to validate a lot of my own observations, thoughts and feelings, The three of you did an amazing job of putting all this information together and present it at no cost. I am truly grateful for compassion and desire to put this all together and present it to the world... Thank you!
