“Hi, my name is Sascha Breuer, and I am the Co-Founder & Operations Manager of A Human Sanctuary.
At A Human Sanctuary, I support our team in providing innovative individual therapy, trauma healing intensives, support groups for the communities we serve, and coursework to aid future generations in eco-resiliency. We specialize in supporting people who feel overwhelmed by the poly-crisis, uncertain about the future, or are struggling to cope with the profound changes unfolding in the world as we know it. I am personally passionate about supporting male identified people through these times, am certified in Forest Therapy (Sylvotherapy), Permaculture Design, and am also a Wilderness Survival Instructor.
Supporting our local community has always been my passion through offering Haircuts for those experiencing homelessness, sharing food sources with local families.
I am also an active member of the Mountain Disaster Preparedness Program (MDP) & Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and have a deep love for nature and the land and spend my free time stewarding our little homestead in the woods. Our sanctuary is located in Idyllwild, California, within the San Bernardino National Forest, on the unceded territory of the Qawishpa Cahuillangnah (Cahuilla Band of Indians). We respectfully acknowledge all nine sovereign Bands of Cahuilla people as the traditional stewards of this land.”
