We are a community devoted to courageously facing, discussing, and grieving the ecological and cultural predicament of our world.\u00a0 We gather and connect in several ways:\u00a0 we offer a free nine-session course called Resilience and Acceptance in the Face of Collapse (offered online or in-person), in continuing bi-monthly discussion groups for course graduates, and in special events open to all. <\/span><\/p>\n

With great sadness and great love, we have become convinced that we are in a time of unraveling. The Resilience and Acceptance course is a space where people can gather to speak their truths together, grieve, and consider how they can meet the challenges of collapse courageously in community.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

This course is not about traditional resilience solutions. Instead, it leads participants through a process of opening to our worldwide predicament and turning towards what is with ever-deepening acceptance. The curriculum cultivates inner resilience, adaptive responses, and acceptance of the climate and life-systems realities that will shape our future. Those who complete the course can join a Resilience and Acceptance Community Circle to continue exploring these concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no charge for the course, for the special events, or for the ongoing RACC discussion groups; they are freely offered. The course and other events were created by, and are being continued by, a group of volunteers rooted in the gift economy. All volunteers have taken the course, found it valuable, and want to pass along the gift.<\/span><\/p>\n

For a long time, we have learned to turn our eyes away and live as we have always lived. We believe that closing our eyes to difficult truths has not served us, and that confronting the existential predicament that we and the entire Community of Life are facing is a task best done in community.
